It was opened as one of the world’s foremost state-of-the-art convention facilities. The foyer and several rooms on the 10th floor of the convention center are used for the registration desk, welcome reception, plenary and paper sessions, intermissions, and luncheon. The information on the convention center can be obtained at the following website. `Grand Cube Osaka (Osaka International Convention Center) `__ As the attached map shows, the convention center is about 2.5 km to the southwest of Osaka Station of JR (Japan Railway), and is very close to Nakanoshima Station of Nakanoshima Line of Keihan Railway. There are some hotels within walking distances near the convention center. Even if you stay beyond walking distances, you can access the convention center easily by taking Nakanoshina Line of Keihan Railway, Osaka Loop and Tozai Lines of JR, and Hanshin Railway in the east and west directions, and Yotsubashi and Midosuji Lines of Osaka Metro (subway) in the north and south directions depending on the locations of your hotels. .. image:: _static/jpg/GrandCubeOsaka.jpg The free non-stop shuttle bus service is also available between Osaka Station of JR and Rihga Royal Hotel next to the convention center. It departs from Osaka Station during the times 7:45–10:00 and 21:00–22:15 (every 15 minutes), and 10:00–21:00 (every 6 minutes). Note that the number of seats per bus is limited to 28. The bus stop at Osaka Station is located closely to Sakura-bashi Exit. The map showing its location is obtained from .. raw:: html Access to Rihga Royal Hotel Gala Dinner =============== The gala dinner is held at Taiko-En, which is about 4 km to east of the convention center and close to Osakajokitazume Station of Tozai Line of JR. It was born from the ritzy, stylish residence of a baron, heavyweight of Kansai economic community. Surrounded by the baron’s beloved Japanese-style garden, you will forget your being in a big city. The information on Taiko-En can be obtained at the following website. .. raw:: html Taiko-En The chartered bus service is available for the round trip from the convention center to Taiko-En. Dress Code ================ Japanese Ministry of Environment initiated “Cool Biz” campaign which introduced a summer dress code in the bureaucracy of the Japanese government, and it has spread to the private sector. Following this campaign, we recommend a dress suitable for business in the hot and humid season in all the events including the gala dinner. Registration, Accommodation, and Payment =========================================== The system for registration, hotel reservation, and payment will be available after full paper submission for review. It will be provided by Nippon Travel Agency on its website linked from here. One of the coauthors for each paper must attend the conference and present their paper in its assigned session. The prices of single rooms in most of these hotels range from 7,500 to 12,500 JPY per night including breakfast and tax. Some are within walking distances, some are along Nakanoshima Line of Keihan Railway, and others are along Midosuji Line of Osaka Metro (subway). Since there are many other hotels in Osaka City, you can reserve them via general hotel reservation websites based on the prices and locations. You can use credit cards to pay for registration and hotel reservation. The cancellation policy will be posted later.
